Jock was found as a stray in the NE part of Austin around Howard Lane. He was picked up and taken to Town Lake Animal Shelter. Nobody came looking for him..he was sad. Jock has a reputation of being a bit unpredictable if you try to pick him up but if you work with him and earn his trust, he is good. Jock has been with us since fhe first of June but we wanted him to feel comfortable before we placed him our the site for adoption. Every day, is like a new day with Jock. He is a fun loving guy. He does like to get in laps and be held (he gets on the furniture and finds his way to the lap so we don't have to pick him up). He is crate trained and house trained. He has been getting along fine with the various other dogs here ranging from 5 months to 11 years. He is actually really gentle with the puppy! Jock is a handsome cairn. He is current with his shots, microchipped and altered. His age is estimated between 4-6 years. We have recently noticed that Jock is either experiencing some hearing loss or acquired some selective hearing talents. We will require a fence since Jock has already shown he can escape. Jock loves to patrol he air for birds and doesn't really watch as he runs after them so he will require a secure fenced yard. We will also require someone with cairn experience.
